TerraMetrics and ViewTec Announce Strategic Alliance

Littleton, Colo.—Littleton, Colorado-based TerraMetrics, Inc., announced today that it is partnering with ViewTec Ltd., headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, to bundle TruEarth® 15-meter global satellite imagery with ViewTec’s state-of-the-art TerrainView-Globe™ visualization and simulation software. The addition of TruEarth 15-meter imagery now gives TerrainView-Globe users access to the highest-resolution imagery available for complete, global coverage of the earth. 

With TerrainView-Globe, users can display and analyze the earth in 3D. Data including images, textures, terrain and 3D objects can be accessed locally or remotely via the Internet. The global imagery will allow TerrainView-Globe clients to work on projects and simulations that involve large regional or worldwide areas.
