TerraMetrics Introduces
TruEarth® 15-meter Global Imagery
November 28,
2005
Littleton, Colo.—Littleton, Colorado-based TerraMetrics, Inc., announced today the addition of TruEarth® 15-meter global, natural-color Earth imagery to its
TruEarth product line. The new imagery, which is substantially cloud free, offers a significant upgrade to the company’s
TruEarth 30-meter products, providing higher resolution and more current data.
“The 15-meter products establish a new global baseline for Earth imagery,” said Greg Baxes, President, TerraMetrics, Inc. “As mission-critical visualization and increasingly sophisticated simulation applications emerge, our customers are demanding higher-resolution, visually accurate imagery. We’re pleased to have the technical capabilities to meet this need. ”
Mission-critical applications requiring visually accurate imagery include advanced synthetic vision systems that provide in-flight terrain rendering of the view outside a pilot’s window to improve aviation safety.
TerraMetrics produces TruEarth imagery using proprietary TruEarth natural-color processing.
TruEarth 15-meter is ideal for visualization, simulation, mapping, animation and print media applications. The imagery is provided in seamless 1-degree x 1-degree GeoTIFF, geo-referenced image tiles in an Equi-rectangular projection.
TruEarth global imagery is available in a range of resolutions. For more information, call 303-979-5255 or visit the company’s website at
